Future of Computing Conference
The Future of Computing Conference 2023 brought together experts, startups, industry and academia to explore the frontiers of compute technologies and possible solutions through materials innovations. The Conference was repeated in 2024 and 2025. The 2023 conference was co-funded by the Berlin Senate Administration for Economics, Energy and Public Enterprises in the context of the Masterplan Industriestadt Berlin.
Driving Circular Economy in Industry
This initiative has been specially curated for innovators and SMEs in the fields of construction, textiles, electronics and chemistry. It aimed to establish sustainable value chains by leveraging material innovations to support a circular economy within Berlin. The project closed in December 2025. The project was co-funded by the Berlin Senate Administration for Economics, Energy and Public Enterprises in the context of the Masterplan Industriestadt Berlin.
ELIgnite
Funded with 5m EUR through the Horizon Europe programme, ELIgnite brings together leading research infrastructures and innovation organisations from across Europe to make world-class laser and photonics capabilities accessible to companies developing breakthrough technologies. The consortium combines scientific excellence with business acceleration to help transform cutting-edge research into market-ready innovation. The project starts in October 2026.
Sustainable Transition to the Agile and Green Enterprise
The STAGE project provided industrial enterprises, investors and sustainability advisors with access to cutting-edge innovation, sustainability training, support, and assessment tools. The project closed in September 2025 and raised in excess of 250m EUR in investment for European SMEs. STAGE was funded by the Horizon Europe programme.
Deep Tech Berlin Agenda
The Deep Tech Berlin Agenda highlights the strengths Berlin is now systematically building upon—from research and talent to technology transfer, capital, and scaling. At the heart of the agenda is the question of how scientific excellence, startup dynamism, technology transfer, and scaling can interact even more effectively—so that technological breakthroughs lead more quickly to concrete applications, new business models, and value creation.
Advice for the Advanced Materials Act
As Europe prepares to strengthen its position in critical technologies and industrial value chains, advanced materials are increasingly recognised as a key enabler across sectors including energy, semiconductors, healthcare, mobility, defence and digital technologies. INAM was very honour to have been invited to contributed to this important report on advanced materials, which forma the foundation for the recommendations to the European Commission.
