At INAM e.V., the Innovation Network for Advanced Materials, we help dreamers with a scientific idea turn it into marketable products. Through the help of our network of first-class partners from research, VCs and industry, we offer startups the necessary access to research infrastructure to production, financing and market access. We do this through our programs, starting with our incubator, AdMaLab, which brings the brightest ideas from the lab bench to commercialization, our unique accelerator programs, AdMaCom and AdMaCom scale, which deal with early and later stages of growth in startups and our Open Innovation Challenges, which connects corporates to a startup that can solve their problem. We hold monthly meetings for our members, round tables on sub-topics in materials (ex. Photonics, Printed Electronics etc.), Founders Hour (for individualized startup support) and provide highly informative external newsletters and reports for our members. To help us support deep tech startups in reaching their potential, INAM e.V. is looking for an Intern / Working Student. Your role will be to support INAM’s business development efforts in attracting the best and brightest new Advanced Materials startups to our network. Your tasks: Interacting with relevant key stakeholders including corporates, startups, investors, researchers and partners. OPEN INNOVATION CHALLENGE: THERMAL INTERFACE MATERIALS for POWER MODULES ABOUT THE CHALLENGE We are looking for thermal interface materials for power modules. ​ THE BRIEF As the market leader in power modules, Infineon challenges YOU to develop a thermal interface material solution for highly reliable and best in class power modules. Power modules serve, amongst others, general purpose drives, traction, servo-units and renewable energy applications like solar inverters, energy storage systems or wind applications. They cover a wide range of a few hundred Watts to several Megawatts. However, with the ongoing demand and system requirement to increase the power density in power electronics, the thermal interface between power module and heatsink becomes an even more important role. A thermal interface material must not only provide the lowest thermal resistance, but also fulfil the highest quality standards given for power modules to achieve the longest lifetime and highest system reliability. product/Material requirements Your idea should focus on thermal interface materials based on foils, pastes, or potential other solutions . Foils and pastes ideally should meet following main requirements. NOTE: Although t hese requirements are our ideal properties of thermal interface materials, don't hesitate to apply if one or two requirements are not met. Open Innovation Challenge: FURTHER EXPANDING CIRCULAR ECONOMY SOLUTIONS IN THE TIRE INDUSTRY. Closed ABOUT THE CHALLENGE For us, end-of-life tires are a raw material in the wrong place. We believe that a circular economy is the model of the future. That's why we're looking for your innovative ideas to advance recovery, recycling and re-use of end-of-life tires. THE BRIEF INAM and Continental are looking for innovative ideas to further expand tire circularity. In our view, both the material and the design aspect will be central to tackle this challenge. Figuring out how to make tires fully circular also involves new concepts that enable an easier recycling process. ​ Detailed information will be shared with you after your application.
