The Innovation Network for Advanced Materials Welcomes CIC nanoGUNE as Newest Research Member

Berlin, Germany (12 May 2021)—INAM, the Innovation Network for Advanced Materials is happy to announce CIC nanoGUNE as their newest research member.


INAM is a global network of companies and research institutes in the field of Advanced Materials. Their mission is to support innovative ideas, products and processes in the field of Advanced Materials with the aim to accelerate the global market entry of technology innovations by providing access to infrastructure and collaboration between corporates, startups and research institutions.


“Research is an integral part of the Advanced Materials ecosystem,” said Antonia Caraveteanu, Managing Director of INAM. “We are happy to have CIC nanoGUNE as part of the INAM Network. In many ways, we see a lot of overlap between our two organizations and we are looking forward to working together to bring more innovation out of the lab and into the real world.”


NanoGune is a research center with the mission of performing world-class nanoscience research for the competitive growth of the Basque Country. Located in Donostia - San Sebastian, a coastal city located in the Basque Country, NanoGUNE has a unique infrastructure of 6,200 m2, cleanroom space of nearly 300m2 and 15 ultra-sensitive laboratories with state-of-the-art equipment.


NanoGUNE is a non-profit association promoted by the Basque Government. A Governing Board, currently composed by all partners, is the responsible for the overall management of the center. Since its foundation in 2006, NanoGUNE has obtained an important amount of competitive funding from the local Governments, Industry, and the European Union.


NanoGUNE's strategy is focused on addressing excellent research and technology-transfer in nanoscience and nanotechnology, fostering high-standard training and education of researchers in this field, and promoting the cooperation among various agents in the Basque Science, Technology, and Innovation Network and between these agents and industry.


NanoGUNE is seeking to recruit talented, enthusiastic people who will participate in its growing scientific program and will serve its collaborative and engaging mission. This includes both senior and junior researchers, post-docs, pre-docs, undergraduate students, highly qualified technicians, and administrative and other supporting staff.
