Open Innovation Challenge with Continental: Expanding Circular Economy Solutions in the Tire Industry.

Date: 30 April, 2024

Location: Berlin, Germany

At INAM, we believe innovation thrives when diverse minds come together to address complex challenges. Thus, we facilitate Open Innovation Challenges on behalf of our members to complement internal R&D capacities.

For one of our most recent Open Innovation Challenges, Continental sought innovative ideas to enhance the recovery, recycling, and re-use of end-of-life tires to further expand tire circularity.

Following a comprehensive screening procedure, multiple companies proposed a wide array of potential solutions and opportunities over two informative days. Subsequently, TRS and ATSP Innovation were shortlisted due to their compelling propositions, giving them the opportunity to delve deeper into their technologies and outline the stages required for a promising Proof of Concept.

Even seemingly simple subjects contain layers of complexity revealing the intriguing nuances with the Open Innovation Challenge. With continuous efforts, we inch closer to realising our innovation aspirations.
