Rhona Togher and Eimear O’Carroll founded Lios in 2009 with the mission to eradicate harmful noise damage. After developing a successful sound therapy for people who suffer from tinnitus, the founders took on the challenge of tackling the problem at the source—leading them to develop SoundBounce, a game-changing innovation in the acoustic materials industry.
SoundBounce is a next-generation acoustic metamaterial used in the automotive, aerospace, construction and power generation industries.
An advanced, low-frequency acoustic insulation— SoundBounce is a composite material comprising a responsive material enclosed in a cellular housing. Thinner and more effective than traditional solutions at attenuating noise, SoundBounce is a non-toxic, eco-friendly solution to noise pollution.
