INAM, the Innovation Network for Advanced Materials announces Sumatrix Biotech as an ADMACOM 2022 finalist. Alongside 10 other startups, Sumatrix Biotech, joins the 8th edition of the Advanced Materials accelerator program, ADMACOM.
Sumatrix Biotech repurposes industrial waste into bioactive and sustainable biocellulose-based products. Sumatrix Biotech isolates glucose from industrial waste and converts it into ultra-pure biocellulose hydrogels via biotechnological fermentation. They develop innovative biocellulose hydrogel-based value-creating biomaterials for wound care, medical devices, tissue engineering and industrial applications.
What’s new and innovative:
Instead of conventional Hestrin and Schramm (HS) or fermented coconut fruit extract dependent production, that are nearly 90% of the bill, Sumatrix’sformulation decreases related expenses dramatically and increases product yield. Sumatrix Biotech offers a much better way to grow biocellulose with affordable, bioactive compounds and superior water holding capacity.
