ABOUT THE CHALLENGE
We are looking for Battery Technologies to help build a next generation (cordless & sustainable) hairdryer.
Win the chance for a long-term partnership with a successful system supplier!
THE BRIEF
There is currently no battery on the market that can do justice to a cordless hair dryer. Either the drying performance is too low or the play time is too short to dry the hair completely.
Therefore, your challenge is to develop an eco-friendly battery (or any other approach) to be used in a cordless hair dryer that has no noticeable disadvantage compared to a normal travel hairdryer.
KEEP IN MIND: Playtime, lifetime, weight and size are critical for any product with rechargeable batteries.

Infrared heating system or similar innovative heating solution preferred
Ideally, your solution ensures low negative impacts on the environment.
This includes durability, repairability, lightweight, low carbon footprint, use of recycled or even bio-/biodegradable/compostable materials and/or other circular plastics/materials.
No use of hazardous substances, no added microplastics and compliance with other chemical/environmental regulations are a matter of course for us.
