To meet the world’s climate goals we need to actively capture billions of tons of CO2 by 2030. Technological solutions such as Direct Air Capture, are, however, very expensive and not sustainable scalable.
Ucaneo utilizes biological membranes to realize a scalable carbon capture process. Ucaneo's process is ~50-60% cheaper than conventional CO2 capture methods thanks to a 30x temperature reduction. The process is also much more sustainable than conventional methods as no toxic or rare earth materials are used.
MANA.energy
In spite of recent advancements, there is no a commercial solution for high-capacity electrode materials in rechargeable batteries that is truly flexible and heat resistant.
Mana.energy's products enable the emergence of fundamentally novel battery-powered products for which conventional batteries are not a viable alternative.
clever ai
The goal of Clever AI is to develop a future AI that can solve any problem independently by specifying only a few parameters and is continuously evolving. This means that the AI will be usable for any scientific, industrial or general work task. In the distant future, Clever AI will integrate its AI into home-made robots and androids.
FaradaIC Sensors GmbH is a gas sensor technology company bringing down the size and cost of gas sensors for IoT devices and wearables. With their technology, electrochemical gas sensors can be microfabricated on mass and seamlessly integrate into the microchip fabrication process. Their beachhead market is in biometric breath sensing and will go to market in 2023.
Meloon filters environmentally harmful carbon dioxide from flue gas and produces Graphene from it as a raw material. Consequently, CO2 is removed and stored long-term in the form of Graphene and other solutions. Meloon uses the Graphene to manufacture its filtrating membranes, which represents a profitable solution to CO2 sequestration.

The world is facing the challenge of finding alternatives to fossil fuels. However, tomorrow's circular carbon economy is fundamentally limited by the inefficient catalysts available today.
Dunia Innovations aims to overcome this the bottleneck to scalable carbon utilization by building the world’s first self-driving lab for carbon dioxide utilisation catalysis. By leveraging the 21st century AI and robotic tools, Dunia Innovations supercharges the catalyst innovation process and reduces time and cost to market in this area by up to 90%.
FERRUM DECARB
The steel industry currently produces 3Gt/year of CO2 emissions which amounts to 9% of all global emissions. Decarbonizing the steel industry is therefore extremely essential to enable a truly sustainable and green world.
Ferrum Decarb aims to enable a paradigm shift in the steel industry via hydrogen plasma. Their mission is to replace conventional carbon-based technologies and establish hydrogen plasma as new state of the art in steel production.
SUMATRIX BIOTECH
In the face of growing global population, technologies that enable an increase in food production are desperately needed. Sumatrix Biotech is an innovative biopolymer company that addresses this issue by producing biocellulose through microbial fermentation of waste products to develop high-value products for hydroponic farming and industrial applications.
Metamem
Surface enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) is a powerful vibrational spectroscopy technique that allows for highly sensitive structural detection of low concentration analytes.
MetaMem has developed an improved manufacturing process to overcome limited surface enhancement associated with Raman spectroscopy. Their scalable and optimized pathway to create porous metal membranes allows them to find applications in fields where SERS has not been available yet, while also tapping into the already existing SERS market.
ORBITAL MATTER
Orbital Matter are aiming to become the first space construction company capable of printing large structures such as walls for space stations and moon infrastructure directly in space. In order to do that, they are working on an innovative 3D printing technology that can work in vacuum and UV radiation, and can survive harsh environment in space.
Rintegrate Medical Technologies
Implants, both dental and orthopaedic, can cause problems if made using foreign materials as the body may reject the implant. There is a dire need of biocompatible materials that can be used in the impant industry.
Reintegrate Medical Technologies are making the world's first completely resorbable implants from synthetic bone material. They use a synthetic bone material that is structurally and chemically similar to the human bone which allows natural bone to grow through the impants.
Quantum grade materials
Quantum Grade Materials is delivering isotope-pure semiconductor precursors with quantum grade purity to meet the demand of research and the fast-growing quantum computing industry. Their process is compatible with industry standards and volumes, separating them from alternate approaches.
